Can You Dig It, Baby? The Site

Thank you for visiting Tomorrow's Calling! I hope that you've enjoyed your visit and that it has given you something to think about. Below are just a few remaining tidbits of site business, such as affiliation, link buttons, credits, site name info, and webmistress info.

Site Name and Meaning

When I was first putting together this site, I kept being reminded of the song "World" by Five for Fighting--"What kind of world do you want? Think anything! Let's start at the start, build a masterpiece..." And in the spirit of that song, I took one of the phrases from the bridge ("Tomorrow's calling") and made it the title of my site. Eventually, I went on to title each article and sub-section with appropriate lyrics from the song as well. I find it especially meaningful and poignant, and I hope you have as well.

"World" - Five for Fighting

Got a package full of wishes
A time machine, a magic wand
A globe made out of gold
No instructions or commandments
Laws of gravity
Or indecisions to uphold

Printed on the box I see
A.C.M.E.'s Build-a-World-to-Be
Take a chance
Grab a piece
Help me to believe it

[Chorus] What kind of world do you want?
Think anything
Let's start at the start
Build a masterpiece
Be careful what you wish for
History starts now...

Should there be people or peoples?
Money, funny pedestals for fools who never pay?
Raise your army, choose your steeple
Don't be shy, the satellites can look the other way

Lose the earthquakes, keep the faults
Fill the oceans without the salt
Let every man own his own hand--
Can you dig it, baby?

Sunlight's on the bridge
Sunlight's on the way
Tomorrow's calling
There's more to this than love...

What kind of world do you want?
What kind of world do you want?

What kind of world do you want?
Think anything
Let's start at the start
Build a masterpiece...

History starts now
Starts now...

Be careful what you wish for...
Start now

Webmistress Info

I am a longtime player of the Animal Crossing series, beginning in 2001 with the original Animal Crossing for Gamecube when I was sixteen. Though I haven't yet played New Leaf or Happy Home Designer, I still consider myself a fan of the series given my enjoyment of the installments I've played thus far. Aside from playing much of this game series, I am also a budding novelist, poet, music composer, pianist, singer, and webdesigner, and have made my home on the Web at since 2004.
